A woman killed in a vehicular accident was trying to help her daughter-in-law who ran out of fuel. The accident occurred at the Southwest Freeway and Belfort in Houston, Texas around 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 15.
The daughter-in-law had her 9-year-old son and 15-year-old daughter with her in the vehicle when she ran out of gas. She called her mother-in-law for help. When her mother-in-law came with fuel, and as the two of them were filling up the car, another car driving along the highway crashed into a van. When the car veered off the roadway, it ran into the family’s sedan. The mother-in-law, who was outside the vehicle, died at the scene of the accident. Her daughter-in-law and her grandchildren sustained non-life-threatening wounds.
At the Benton Law Firm, we witness tragic events such as this one far too often. Our condolences are with the family of the victim during this painful time.
