Drunk Driving Accidents in Texas

In the year 2017, there were more than 1,020 people who lost their lives as a result of an automobile accident where the driver was under the influences of alcohol or drugs.  This number accounts for 28% 0f the total number of people who were killed in traffic accidents in Texas from the previous year.

It is extremely unfortunate when victims are killed by drunk drivers in Texas. These DUI accidents are completely preventable, which makes matters even worse for those who are killed and injured in them. Although no amount of financial restitution can ever replace the lives lost in drunk driving accidents, surviving family members are able to file wrongful death lawsuits to receive compensation to help with medical and funeral expenses, pain and suffering, and various other damages resulting from the incident.
