North Austin, TX – Metro Bus Accident On East 53rd Street Leaves Four Injured

North Austin, TX (March 19, 2019) – On Monday, just after 3:00 p.m., a Metro bus collided with a pickup truck on East 53rd Street, near Duval Street. The force of the crash caused the bus to crash into a nearby house.

The driver of the pickup truck, the bus driver, and two bus passengers were transported to Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment to their injuries. Five other passengers on the bus refused medical treatment.

Crews closed Duval Street to clean and clear the area as police investigated the crash. The cause of the collision remains unknown at this time.
