New Braunfels, TX (March 20, 2019) – On Wednesday, around 1:15 a.m., police and emergency crews responded to the scene of an accident on the New Braunfels freeway. The accident involved a man pushing a shopping cart.

According to police, an unidentified man was pushing a shopping cart in the 2100 block of Interstate 35 southbound when an SUV struck him on the roadway. According to the driver of the SUV, the man was walking down the roadway in dark clothing, so he was unable to see him before the collision.

The 19-year-old driver of the SUV was uninjured in the accident.
