Shelby County, TX – Doris Washington Identified as Pedestrian in Fatal Crash on US-84

Shelby County, TX (March 26, 2019) – On Tuesday, March 26, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a pedestrian accident on US-84.

The accident occurred along the highway, just east of County Road 3590, just after 6:40 a.m. According to reports, a 2015 Toyota, driven by 35-year-old Joshua Hankins, of Logansport, LA, struck a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the highway.

The Shelby County Justice of the Peace pronounced the pedestrian, who has since been identified as Doris Washington, 76, from Center, deceased at the scene of the crash.
