Florence, TX – UPDATE – John Thomas Stubbs Identified As Victim In Fatal Pedestrian Accident on TX-195

Florence, TX (March 27, 2019) – On Tuesday, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a pedestrian accident around 5:00 a.m. on March 26.

According to police, 20-year-old John Thomas Stubbs was standing outside a disabled vehicle on Highway 195 checking his tire when he was hit by two northbound vehicles. A 2003 Ford F-150 struck Stubbs and sent him into the roadway, which was where he was struck almost immediately afterward by a 2015 Nissan Altima.

Police arrived to find Stubbs deceased at the scene of the accident.

Authorities continue to investigate this incident.
