Austin, TX (March 29, 2019) – On Thursday, March 28, Austin Police Departments and emergency crews responded to the scene of an accident where a bicyclist was struck by a car.

The incident occurred near the 1300 block of East Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The bicyclist was struck by a car and was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. The victim was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center in critical condition, where she was late pronounced dead as a result of her injuries.

The victim was later identified as 28-year-old Jessica Saathoff.
