Austin, TX (March 29, 2019) – Just after 8:30 p.m. on March 29, first responders from the Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services were called to the scene of a pedestrian accident.

The incident occurred at the intersection of South Congress Avenue and Cloudview Drive in Austin.  First responders arrived at the scene to find an adult male pedestrian who was struck by a motor vehicle in the intersection. First responders attempted CPR on the male, but he succumbed to his injuries.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation. Our warmest sympathies go out to the family of the victim who lost his life in this tragic event.
