Austin, TX – Five Hospitalized After Avesta Salon Apartment Fire in the 8800 Block Of North I-35

Austin, TX (April 1, 2019) – According to reports from the Austin Fire Department, close to 50 people have been displayed and five injured after a fire at the Avesta Salon Apartments.

The apartment complex is located in the 8800 block of North I-35. An early morning fire caused heavy damage to building 3.

The Austin Travis County EMS reports that two children and three adults have been hospitalized due to burns and smoke inhalation. A sixth victim, a pregnant woman, was also transported to an area hospital for an evaluation.
