Houston, TX (April 1, 2019) – On Saturday, March 30, around 9:30 p.m., the Houston Police Department responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident.

The incident occurred on the southbound side of North Shepherd Drive near West 10th Street. A woman in a motor vehicle struck two individuals, a 25-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man, who were crossing the street. The two victims were transported to an area hospital, but both succumbed to their injuries shortly after.

The driver, who fled from the scene of the incident without checking on the victims, turned herself into the Houston Police Department after driving home and speaking with members of her family.
