Round Rock, TX (April 1, 2019) – On March 31, around 1 p.m., the Round Rock Fire Department responded to the scene of a train crash.

The incident occurred around 500 feet west of A.W. Grimes Boulevard along a stretch of Highway 79. According to reports, two construction trains crashed on an elevated section of track that was being worked on by crews from Union Pacific. Three people onboard the train were transported to an area hospital for treatment to injuries sustained in the crash.
