Amarillo, TX – Officer Injured In Motorcycle Accident On S. Western
Amarillo, TX (April 2, 2019) – Amarillo Police Department responded to the scene of a motorcycle accident on April 1, around 12:50 p.m.
The incident occurred near South Western and Hollywood. According to reports, an Amarillo Police Officer was stopped at a stop sign on the westbound frontage road while on his 2016 Harley Davidson. A 33-year-old female driver in a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire was heading north on S. Western and struck the motorcycle when the officer pulled away from the stop sign.
The officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment to injuries sustained in the crash. Neither the driver nor her 36-year-old passenger were injured in the incident.
