Spring, TX – Deputy Constable Injured In DUI Crash On Beltway 8

Spring, TX (April 5, 2019) – On Friday, April 5, around 2 a.m., a Harris County Deputy constable was traveling down Beltway 8 near Veteran’s Memorial Drive when he was struck by a drunk driver.

According to investigators, the deputy’s patrol SUV and the alleged drunk driver were both traveling east along the Beltway when the deputy’s vehicle was struck in the back by another vehicle.

The deputy was trapped inside the vehicle and suffered injuries to his head. The patrol officer was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. The suspected drunk driver was also taken to an area hospital for treatment to unknown injuries and subsequently charged with intoxication assault of a police officer.
