Upshur County, TX – Whitney Emmel Petrick Killed In TX-300 Crash
Upshur County, TX (April 5, 2019) – Around 8 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a collision on TX-300.
According to the investigation, 29-year-old James Sterling Jones Jr. was traveling north along TX-300 in the inside lanes. At the same time, 30-ear-old Whitney Emmel Petrick was stopped at the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 726 and TX-300, facing west.
Ms. Petrick pulled her vehicle out into the intersection and was struck by Jones’s vehicle. Jones was in stable condition at the time of the collision. Ms. Petrick was pronounced deceased at the scene.
