Channelview, TX – Eric Rojas and Isidro Mendoza Killed in Fatal Workplace Accident on Industrial Road

Channelview, TX (April 6, 2019) On the evening of April 4th, a fatal workplace accident happened at an area shipyard in the 13800 block of Industrial Road near Houston Ship Channel located inside the Brown Industrial Park. According to the reports, a large piece of heavy equipment fell onto several employees at about 9:00 p.m.

When the paramedics arrived, they found one of the workers dead at the site, while another one was trapped beneath the equipment. Once they freed him, they transported him to a nearby hospital via Life Flight. Unfortunately, he did not survive his injuries. The two men have been identified as Eric Rojas and Isidro Mendoza. They both worked for Spitzer Industries.

The authorities are currently investigating this accident to determine what caused the equipment to fall.
