Houston, TX – 2 Injured in Head-On Collision on West Mount Houston Road

Houston, TX (April 7, 2019) On the early morning of April 7th, a head-on collision happened near 249 and West Mount Houston Road. According to the reports, a black GMC SUV was headed eastbound on the roadway while a gray Chevrolet Impala was headed westbound. All of a sudden, the black SUV ended up in the westbound lanes and crashed head-on into the Impala.

When emergency crews arrived to help, they found the man driving the black GMC injured and transported him to Ben Taub Hospital along with his passenger. Unfortunately, his passenger was described as being in critical condition.

The police are currently investigating the accident but so far, they believe the driver of the black GMC was driving under the influence at the time of the crash. Once he heals from his injuries, the police will arrest him for driving while impaired.

Our thoughts are with everyone who was injured as a result of this accident in hopes that they will all be able to recover and resume their regular lives.

Head-On Collisions in Texas

Houston, TX – 2 Injured in Head-On Collision on West Mount Houston RoadRecent studies show that in 2017, almost 600 people lost their lives in head-on collisions, which are almost always caused by drunk drivers. The reason intoxicated drivers are more likely to end up driving in the wrong lane is that, after too much alcohol consumption, their bodies stop functioning properly, including their brain. They experience delayed hand-to-eye coordination, reaction times, and they are also unaware of their speed.

At Benton Law Firm, we have helped many clients file personal injury lawsuits against drunk drivers and receive fair compensation for medical bills, vehicle damage, loss of wages, and more. If you or someone you know suffered as a result of a vehicle accident, contact us at 214-219-4878.
