Kyle, TX – Update** Edward Ortiz Jr Killed In Semi-Truck Crash On Interstate 35

Kyle, TX (April 8, 2019) – Around 10:15 p.m., Sunday, April 7, police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a collision on Interstate 35.

According to investigations of the incident, a motorcycle, driven by Edward Ortiz Jr., 41, was traveling down Interstate 35 at a high rate of speed when he struck a semi-truck trailer in front of him. Ortiz became entangled under the trailer.

Hays County Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Beth Smith responded to the scene of the collision and pronounced the driver deceased.
