Smith County, TX (April 11, 2019) – On Thursday, April 11, the Texas Department of Public Safety and emergency crews responded to the scene of a collision on East Highway 64.

According to reports from Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident, which occurred on Highway 64 just east of County Road 298, involved two passenger cars and a semi-truck. At this time, the cause of the incident is unknown.

DPS confirms that one victim involved in this hospital has been transported to a Tyler hospital in an unknown condition. At least one other person involved in this collision was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident.
