Wilmer, TX – One Killed In Interstate 45 Collision Near Wintergreen Rd
Wilmer, TX (April 12, 2019) – Around 4:30 a.m. on Friday, April 12, Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a collision on Interstate 45 in Wilmer.
The incident occurred on Interstate 45 near Wintergreen Road. According to reports, a car was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes when it slammed into another vehicle. The force of the impact caused one of the vehicles to land upside down and the second car landed on its side up against an 18-wheeler. After the crash, one car involved caught on fire.
One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident. The second driver involved was transported to an area hospital via air ambulance for emergency medical attention.
