Rockdale, TX – John Villareal Injured in DUI Accident on Murray Avenue

Rockdale, TX (April 14, 2019) On the night of April 12th, a DUI accident happened in the 1402 block of Murray Avenue at approximately 10:04 p.m. According to the authorities, a 39-year-old man named John Villareal was exiting his driveway in a 2004 Chevy pickup truck when a 2012 Chrysler struck him.

When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found Villareal trapped inside of his vehicle and had to extricate him. Once they noticed his injuries, they transported him to Seton Williamson County Hospital for treatment. Villareal is reportedly a Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department officer.

The authorities are currently investigating the crash, but so far, they believe the driver of the Chrysler, 29-year-old Candice Candrell, was under the influence at the time of the crash. They arrested her and charged her with intoxication assault with a vehicle.
