Houston, TX – Motorcyclist Killed In Collision On San Felipe
Houston, TX (April 16, 2019) – On April 15, around 6 p.m., Houston Police responded to the scene of a collision near San Felipe and Voss.
According to reports, a motorcyclist, who was involved in a collision, fled the scene of the initial collision. A motorist in a sedan, who was struck in the collision, began following the motorcycle from Westheimer and Voss. The sedan continued to follow the motorcyclist to a Kroger near 7500 San Felipe.
Then, for unknown reasons, the motorcyclist wrecked her vehicle behind the Krogers. The driver in the sedan then ran over the fallen motorcyclist. The adult female on the motorcycle was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced deceased. The driver in the sedan was charged with manslaughter for her actions.
Our warmest sympathies go out to the family of the motorcyclist who lost her life in this tragic event.
Motorcycle Fatalities In Texas
Every year, over 500 motorcyclists lose their lives in automobile accidents across Texas. Individuals riding on motorcycles are more vulnerable to their surroundings, which makes them more likely to sustain catastrophic and fatal injuries in the event of a motor vehicle collision.
When victims lose their lives in accidents caused by reckless and impaired drivers, surviving family members can contact a personal injury attorney in Texas to hold those at-fault accountable for their actions. Although there is nothing that can be done to bring back those who have lost their lives tragically, legal claims can help surviving family members obtain restitution for medical and funeral expenses, as well as various other damages.
