Houston, TX – Tony Alvarez Killed In I-10 Crash, 1 Other Injured
Houston, TX (April 18, 2019) – On Wednesday, April 17, Houston Police Department reported to the scene of a collision on Interstate 10.
According to police, two vehicles collided along the interstate. Early reports show that a dump truck, driven by 43-year-old Leon David May II, was traveling west along Interstate 10 when the driver drifted into another lane a struck a flatbed Ford truck, which was driven by 58-year-old Tony Alvarez. After the collision, the dump truck crashed into a concrete wall, rolled, and was engulfed in flames.
Alvarez was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident. May’s condition is not known at this time.
May was transported to the University of Texas Medical Branch with extensive burns and injuries.
