San Augustine, TX – Man Drowned When Boat Capsized At Sam Rayburn Lake

San Augustine, TX (April 19, 2019) – On Thursday, the Texas Game Wardens reported to the scene of a boat accident at Sam Rayburn Lake.

According to Capt. Heath Braggs, a boat capsized in the lake, near Rayburn Park due to rough and windy conditions. When crews arrived at the scene of the incident, they rescued a 24-year-old man who was wearing a life vest in the water. The second person located, a 58-year-old man, was pronounced deceased by rescue crews.
