Austin, TX – James Taylor Bourgeois Killed In S Congress Ave Crash

Austin, TX (April 23, 2019) – On April 17, police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident in the 5600 block of South Congress Avenue around 12:50 a.m.

According to reports, a tan 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling north on South Congress Avenue in the far right lane, preparing to move into the turn lane to head east on Stassney Lane.

At the same time, 56-year old James Taylor Bourgeois was crossing South Congress from the westbound side. The driver of the truck failed to notice the pedestrian and struck him in the roadway. Bourgeois sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
