Golinda, TX (April 25, 2019) – On Wednesday, police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a collision around 7:30 a.m. on Highway 77.

According to reports, two semis collided with an SUV along the roadway. An investigation of the incident determined that 57-year-old Carol Pruitt was traveling along the roadway when she lost control of her SUV. The SUV hydroplaned and struck a semi-truck traveling in the opposite direction. The driver of the semi was injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Pruitt was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision.
