Houston, TX – Construction Worker Injured On TX-288 Near US-59

Houston, TX (April 25, 2019) – On Wednesday, April 24, Houston firefighters were called to the scene of a construction accident on Texas 288.

Around 2:30 p.m., a construction crew was working on the Texas-288 expansion near US 59 and Alabama Street when one of the workers accidentally drove the equipment underneath the bridge. The equipment got wedged between the bridge deck and slope.

The worker fell out of the front-loader and sustained injuries. The injured worker was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
