Amarillo, TX – Two People Injured In Collision On Hillside Road

Amarillo, TX (April 26, 2019)- On Thursday, April 25, Amarillo Police responded to the scene of a major accident under the overpass located on Canyon Drive near Hillside Road.

According to police, an 18-year-old pregnant woman and a 37-year-old woman were traveling east on Hillside while another vehicle was traveling east in the westbound lanes. The driver struck the 18-year-old’s car, causing the 37-year-old driver’s car to swerve up the overpass, which was subsequently struck by the unidentified driver on the way down.

The 18-year-old woman and 37-year-old woman were both transported to an area hospital in critical condition. The unidentified driver was intoxicated and arrested at the scene.
