Fort Worth, TX (April 26, 2016) – On Friday, April 26, emergency crews responded to the scene of a collision in the 9400 block of Jacksboro Highway around 3:30 a.m.

According to reports, a deputy was working in the area along the highway when she was rear-ended by another vehicle. The officer sustained neck injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The driver who rear-ended the officer also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Alcohol is believed to have played a role in the collision.
