Mexia, TX (April 26, 2019) – On Friday, around 12:40 p.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a crash at Jim’s Krispy Fried Chicken at 312 East Milam Street.

According to reports, a woman was driving up to buy her husband chicken when her foot slipped off the brake pedal, causing the SUV to crash through the left side of the building. A customer who was eating in the restaurant was struck by the SUV and sustained injuries. The injured female customer was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.
