Duval County, TX – Cesar Israel Trevino Killed in 3-Vehicle Accident on U.S. Highway 59
Duval County, TX (April 27, 2019) On the night of April 25th, a three-vehicle collision happened on U.S. Highway 59 at about 7:00 p.m. According to the reports, a Kenworth truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling southwest on the highway when its driver stopped after seeing a flagman in a construction zone. A 2015 Ford Explorer was traveling behind the truck and also came to a stop. Unfortunately, a 2018 Ford F-250 was unable to brake in time before rear-ending the Ford Explorer.
When emergency crews made it to the scene, they found the driver of the Ford Explorer dead. He has been identified as 42-year-old Cesar Israel Trevino. They found the driver of the semi-trailer seriously injured and took him to Christus Spohn Hospital in Corpus Christi. The driver of the Ford F-250 also suffered from serious injuries and was taken to Christus Spohn Hospital as well.
The police are investigating to determine who will be at fault for damages and losses.
We give our most genuine condolences to Cesar Israel Trevino’s family as we know it’s not easy to suddenly lose a loved one in a car accident. We also hope the two other injured victims recover quickly.
Vehicle Accidents in Texas
Whenever rear-end accidents occur, it usually means drivers are driving too close behind the vehicle in front of them. Unfortunately, statistics show that 22,333 car accidents were caused by drivers driving too close behind one another in Texas. Drivers drive closely behind other vehicles for many reasons, one of which is to urge the driver in front to drive faster. It’s important for drivers to give each other enough space on roadways so as to avoid collisions caused during emergency braking.
