Vehicle Accidents in Texas

Recent studies show that for the past two decades, the leading cause of fatalities for on-duty police officers are vehicle collisions. Most of the time speed is a contributing factor, whether police cars are chasing after criminals or rushing to the scene of a crime. Usually other vehicles are required to stop or yield when they hear police sirens. However, if drivers are distracted, impaired, or fatigued, accidents are more likely to occur.
