San Angelo, TX – Three-Vehicle Injury Accident on Knickerbocker Road
San Angelo, TX (April 28, 2019) On the night of April 27th, a three-vehicle crash happened at the intersection of Knickerbocker Road and Parkview Drive.
A Chevy Suburban and a Honda Pilot were initially stopped at a red light on Parkview Drive, but when the light turned green, one of the vehicles began to drive as a blue Chevy ran a red light. The blue Chevy T-Boned the Honda, which caused the Honda to crash into the Suburban.
When emergency crews got to the intersection, they found injured occupants and tended to them immediately. One of the injured victims was an occupant in the blue Chevy and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities are investigating the accident to finalize the facts and determine fault.
We wish all of the injured victims a speedy recovery.
Vehicle Accidents in Texas
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, an average of 165,000 vehicle accidents are caused every year in the United States by drivers running red lights. When drivers run lights, they’re usually in a rush, under the influence, fatigued, or distracted. Failure to abide by traffic laws puts the driver and others at risk of suffering from serious injuries that could affect them for the rest of their lives.
