San Antonio, TX (April 28, 2019) On the 27th of April, a 13-year-old boy was found floating in a hotel pool unresponsive at the Marriott hotel in the 3200 block of Northwest Loop 410.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and rushed the teen to University Hospital for treatment of critical injuries.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident to determine what happened.

Our thoughts are with the injured swimmer and his family in hopes that he will be able to make a complete recovery from the incident.

Premise Liability in Texas

San Antonio, TX – 13-Year-Old Teenager Found Injured in Pool at Marriott HotelSadly, between the years of 2004-2015, about 3,536 people drowned unintentionally in swimming pools. Whenever a public facility has hazardous areas, they’re responsible for fixing the problem before others have access to the area, or they must put up signs telling people to avoid the area to protect their safety. It’s the owner’s responsibility to ensure the safety of their building, and when they fail to do so, they put individuals at risk of being seriously injured.

At Benton Law Firm, our experienced premise liability attorneys are committed to helping our clients receive compensation for injuries that resulted from another person’s negligence.
