Kyle, TX – Two Sisters Killed In Hit And Run Crash On I-35

Kyle, TX (April 29, 2019) – On Saturday, April 27, police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a collision on Interstate 35 around 9:20 p.m.

According to reports, a family was traveling in a Honda sedan along the northbound access road of Interstate 35 when their vehicle was struck by a Dodge pickup truck. The driver of the Dodge fled the scene of the collision. Three individuals in the car were transported to an area hospital for treatment while two individuals were pronounced deceased.

Authorities later confirmed that two individuals inside the car, 18-year-old Hayden Weissman, and 16-year Peyton Weissman, were both killed in the fatal collision. The driver of the Dodge was later apprehended and identified as 61-year-old Macario M. Hernandez. Hernandez was charged for the accident and authorities believe that he may have been intoxicated at the time of the collision.
