Austin, TX – Leon Rogelio Andres Salmeron Killed In Crash On Research Blvd

Austin, TX (April 30, 2019) – On April 26, Austin-Travis County EMS and police responded to the scene of a collision in the 8200 block of the Research Boulevard SB Service Road.

According to reports, a red Ford F-150, which was driven by 23-year-old Leon Rogelio Andres Salmeron, was traveling south along the Boulevard when the driver of a gray 2005 Honda Accord failed to yield the right of way from a private drive.

The Honda attempted to exit the Park at Crestview Apartments when it collided with the F-150. The impact of the collision caused the truck to strike a concrete support column, causing fatal injuries to Salmeron. The driver of the Honda fled the scene of the collision by foot, but was later apprehended.

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of Leon Rogelio Andres Salmeron.  Our thoughts are with them at this time.
