Axtell, TX – Two Injured In Crash On State Highway 31

Axtell, TX (April 30, 2019) – On Monday, April 29, Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a collision on State Highway 31 near Farm-to-Market Road 2311, just east of Axtell, around 4:30 p.m.

According to DPS Troopers, a Nissan pickup truck and a Ford pickup truck located at the scene were both heavily damaged. An investigation of the incident found that the Nissan truck was traveling south along FM 2311 when it entered through the intersection without stopping at the stop sign. The Nissan was then struck by a Ford Truck, which was traveling east along Highway 31.

The drivers of both trucks were critically injured in the collision. One of the two drivers were transported by air ambulance to an area hospital for treatment to injuries sustained in the collision.
