Corpus Christi, TX (April 30, 2019) – On April 30, around 11:40 a.m., Corpus Christi rescue crews were called out to the scene of a collision at the intersection of Ocean Drive and Elizabeth Street.

According to reports, a black truck and a silver truck collided at the intersection after one driver ran a red light. The force of the impact caused the black truck to flip up onto its side, trapping the driver inside. Responding crews freed the driver using the Jaws of Life.

The injured driver was transported to an area hospital for emergency medical treatment.
