Gainesville, TX – Two Injured In Crash On East Broadway Street

Gainesville, TX (April 30, 2019) – On April 38, around 7 p.m., Gainesville Police responded to the scene of a collision in the 1400 block of East Broadway Street.

Investigations of the collision show that a 54-year-old woman was driving west along Broadway Street in a gray 2018 Jeep Cherokee when she suffered some type of medical episode. As a result of the medical problems, the woman veered her vehicle off the roadway, causing her to strike a 16-year-old male on the sideway.

The vehicle then came to rest against a tree. The teenager was injured in the collision and transported to Medical City Denton. The driver of the Jeep was transported to North Texas Medical Center as well.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their family at this time.
