San Antonio, TX – 13-Year-Old Boy Died From Drowning At Hotel
San Antonio, TX (April 30, 2019) – On April 26, Hoang Minh Phan, a 13-year-old student at the Dallas Environmental Science Academy, drowned in a hotel pool while on a field trip with his class.
The young man was on an out of town field trip for school when he was found in a pool at the Marriott Hotel, located in the 3200 block of Northwest Loop 410, where the students were staying. Phan was transported to a San Antonio hospital, where he was placed on a ventilator for several days.
On April 28, Phan was taken off life support and passed away as the result of injuries sustained in the drowning. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
