Ector County, TX – Hunter Miller & Joseph Payne Killed In Crash On FM 3472

Ector County, TX (May 2, 2019) – On Wednesday, May 1, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a collision in West Odessa on FM 3472.

According to reports, Joseph Payne, Megan Cantrell, and Hunter Miller were traveling along FM 3472 when Mr. Payne attempted to make an unsafe lane change while heading west along the roadway.

As a result, Mr. Payne’s Toyota Avalon collided with a Cadillac, which was driven by Tyrice Lowery. The impact of the collision caused Mr. Payne to lose control of his vehicle, causing it to roll over several times before colliding with a utility pole.

Both Joseph Payne and Hunter Miller were transported to Medical Center Hospital for injuries sustained in the collision. Both men later succumbed to their injuries. Ms. Cantell was injured and transported to Medical Center Hospital for treatment to her injuries.

Both occupants of the Cadillac, Mr. Lowery and Veronica Rodriguez were transported to Medical Center Hospital for treatment to non-incapacitating injuries.
