Goldthwaite, TX – 2 Injured in Motorcycle Accident on US 281

Goldthwaite, TX (May 4, 2019) On the afternoon of May 3rd, a major motorcycle accident happened on US 281 near TX-16. Two motorcycles crashed into each other, causing one of them to slide into a ditch located on the opposite side of the highway. The impact of the collision ejected one of the riders onto the highway.

When the paramedics arrived to help, they found the male rider suffering from minor injuries while the female passenger sustained more serious injuries. They flew her to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth for immediate treatment. Medical professionals revealed that she is in stable condition. The riders on the other motorcycle did not sustain any injuries.

Authorities are currently investigating what led up to the collision. So far, they believe wet roads were a contributing factor to the major crash.
