Houston, TX – 2 Injured in 6 Vehicle Collision on S Post Oak Rd

Houston, TX (May 4, 2019) On the morning of May 4th, a major traffic collision occurred near the intersection of South Post Oak Road and South Main Street.

At about 12:30 a.m., a vehicle struck a metal guard rail, which resulted into several vehicles spinning on the wet road. A total of five cars and a motorcycle were involved in the accident.

When the paramedics arrived at the intersection, they found the motorcyclist in critical condition. The rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He had a female passenger riding with him, who also sustained injuries. Both victims were immediately taken to the closest hospital for treatment.

Tow trucks arrived to help remove some of the damaged vehicles from the roadway. At least one of the vehicles sustained major frontal damage.

Authorities are investigating to determine what factors led up to the collision.

We wish both injured victims a full recovery.

Vehicle and Motorcycle Collisions in Texas

Houston, TX – 2 Injured in 6 Vehicle Collision on S Post Oak RdThe Federal Highway Administration reports that out of the 6 million car accidents that occur annually in the nation, about 22 percent of them are caused by hazardous weather. Whenever there is heavy rain or snow, drivers should reduce their speed to ensure their tires don’t hydroplane and cause serious damages. Whenever accidents occur in the middle of the night, drunk driving is usually the cause, which becomes twice as dangerous under extreme weather conditions.
