Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accidents in Texas
In 2015, over 3,500 pedestrians were hit and suffered injuries throughout Texas. State law indicates that all pedestrians have the right of way no matter if a crosswalk is marked or unmarked. Therefore, drivers are expected to drive responsibly at all times in case a pedestrian appears on the roadway. When drivers leave a pedestrian injured in the roadway after striking them, they put the injured victim at serious risk of suffering fatal injuries since no emergency personnel is rendering aid to them.
At Benton Law Firm, we have some of the best Texas personal injury lawyers at our firm constantly fighting for the rights of pedestrians and helping them recover financial assistance for their injuries.
