UPDATE: Westlake, TX – Richard Rivas Killed in Fatal Crash on U.S.377

Westlake, TX (May 4, 2019) On the evening of May 2nd, a fatal crash happened on U.S. 377 and Texas 170.

A 29-year-old man named Richard Rivas was driving on the highway when he drove through a red light and collided with an 18-wheeler. A commercial vehicle that contained three occupants was also involved in the accident.

The deadly crash happened at around 10:30 p.m.  When emergency crews made it to the scene, Rivas had already suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are still investigating to get more information about the accident.
