Austin, TX – Teenager Injured in Hit & Run Pedestrian Accident on Palm Wy

Austin, TX (May 5, 2019) On the afternoon of May 5th, a hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened in the 3100 block of Palm Way at the Domain. A vehicle struck a teenage girl near the Apple Store at around 4:00 p.m.

When the paramedics arrived, they found the teenager suffering from traumatic injuries and rushed her to Dell Seton Medical Center.

Unfortunately, the driver did not remain at the scene.

Authorities are searching for a black vehicle as they continue to investigate.

Our thoughts are with the injured teenager. We hope she recovers quickly.

Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accidents in Austin

Unfortunately, about 65 percent of all hit-and-run accidents nationwide involve pedestrians. Drivers flee the scene due to fear of facing jail time and paying fines. Leaving the scene of a crash typically means drivers have a history of criminal activity and don’t want to face the authorities. Fleeing the scene also indicates drivers know they’re guilty of driving negligently. For those who have been struck by vehicles and are unsure of what steps to take, the best option is to file a personal injury lawsuit with an experienced Texas personal injury lawyer.

At Benton Law Firm, our experienced lawyers are ready to assist injured victims with their cases and help them prove their negligence claims.
