Head-On Collisions in Texas
Almost 700 people lost their lives in wrong-way collisions on Texas roads in 2016. The leading cause of wrong-way crashes is driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. DUI accidents usually occur late at night between the hours of 6:00 pm and midnight. Drivers who are impaired are more prone to driving in the wrong lanes, speeding, violating traffic laws, and causing major accidents. Because head-on crashes cause more damages than any other accident, those involved are more likely to suffer from serious injuries.
