Houston, TX – Driver Charged In Crash On Eldridge Pky That Left 1 Dead

Houston, TX (May 6, 2019) – On Sunday, just after 6:45 p.m., Houston Police Department responded to the scene of a collision on Eldridge Parkway.

According to the Precinct 5 deputy, a black car ran a red light at the intersection of Eldridge Parkway and Memorial. Officers attempted to pull over the driver, who fled from the scene. The driver continued to speed down the roadway and ran another red light before crashing into a white Lexus at the intersection of Eldridge Parkway and Katy Freeway.

The passenger inside the black car sustained fatal injuries and succumbed on the way to the hospital.

The female driver of the Lexus sustained injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The driver of the black car was arrested and charged with felony murder for the incident.
