Austin, TX – Man Killed In Crash On Interstate 35 & Cesar Chavez

Austin, TX (May 7, 2019) – On Tuesday, May 7, Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident just before 3 a.m.

The incident occurred on Interstate 35 near Cesar Chavez. According to DPS, a motor vehicle traveling through the Interstate struck a male pedestrian along the roadway. The pedestrian, who is believed to be in his 40s, was transported to Dell Seton Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation at this time. The driver of the motor vehicle remained at the scene of the incident and cooperated with responding officers.
