Axtell, TX – Drivers Injured In Highway 31 Crash Succumb To Injuries
Axtell, TX (May 7, 2019) – On April 29, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a collision on State Highway 31 in Axtell at FM 2311.
According to reports, 58-year-old Richard Raines was traveling south on FM 3211 in a Nissan Pickup truck when he failed to stop at the stop sign. As a result, Raines pulled into the path of a Ford pickup truck, which was being driven by 76-year-old Carol Cornelius.
Both Raines and Cornelius were transported to area hospitals in critical condition. On Tuesday, May 7, the Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed that both drivers succumbed to their injuries.
