Rusk County, TX – One Teen Killed & One Injured In Crash On CR 165
Rusk County, TX (May 7, 2019) – On May 6, around 7 p.m., Texas Department Of Public Safety responded to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Country Road 165.
According to reports from DPS, 18-year-old Demarcus Keshaun Holsome was traveling along CR 165 at an unsafe speed when he lost control of his vehicle while traveling through a curved area of the road.
The vehicle traveled off the roadway, causing Holsome to jerk the wheel. As a result, the vehicle went onto its side and skidded across the roadway. The vehicle ultimately came to rest in a ditch along the east side of the roadway, where it landed on its roof.
Holsome was injured in the collision and transported to a Henderson hospital for treatment.
The passenger in the vehicle, who was identified as 15-year-old Bagley Mahdessian, was transported to a Longview hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
